Feline Cuisine

Someone from Z’s office called in asking if we knew any good Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, L.A. Someone is in need of lunch. Offhand, I don’t know of any. Z might have some ideas.

But our cat, Kira, says she knows where some good Feline cuisine can be had - sauteed mouse tails, for starters, and that’s just the appetizers. It’s a funky little place in Cat Town, and you can even get a whole rat platter if you’re in the mood to splurge, eyes and bones and hair and gristle and all. Not everyone wants their rat with eyeballs, and if you don’t like it that way, you can always get it mashed or mauled, with the bones and fur removed. Fish is also available in various kinds and styles, from fresh-caught to stinky and rotting.

Kira says there’s also an excellent raw food place not far from there - not just whole rat but raw whole rat, or raw mouse, or so forth. Sort of a sushi-equivalent. You can get a little plate of grass for dessert to aid with digestion and with coughing up the less digestible bits. Appetizers there include live flies, chilled to render them sluggish. Tasty, but you’ll be hungry again an hour later.
