video: GLASS GOBLINS at the Unknown Theater

I had the good fortune the other night to play a show at the Unknown Theater on a Thursday night hosted by ELEMENOPY.

(I did this once before. Somewhere on this page there is a photograph. Very possibly my first show in Los Angeles was there, which is interesting because this time was actually my first show in Los Angeles leading a group.)

For this show I recruited a merry band of GLASS GOBLINS, including: Abe (guitar) and Will (bass) from THE VOODOO FIX; Nick Liberatore (percussion) from ELEMENOPY; and SCOTT KEIL on the drums. They all got to meet each other about forty-five minutes before the show started.

The results were very excellent. I have assembled a 10-minute summation for purposes of you-tube propagation, and it is this:

If you would like to see the whole show, you can do so here:

**hint: The video, called UNKNOWN GOBLINS, is in two parts. To view the performance in its proper sequence, begin with part 1 and then move gradually on through part 2.

enjoy!

BIG AMERICAN TRIP

I have been remiss in not plugging this latest work of genius from my brother in highly-organized-gibberish, Mr Christian Peet:

BIG AMERICAN TRIP
cover of Big American Trip by Christian Peet

Mr Peet has slightly more to say about that here: http://christianpeet.blogspot.com/2009/03/in-briefs.html

…and associated multimedia content may be viewed here:

People keep asking me what this book is about, and I don’t know quite what to tell them except GO AND READ IT and then come back and tell me… Massively recommended.
